Kodie Maree and Kylie Moss are Left of Center.
2010 has been a breakthrough year for Left of Center after coming to the attention of the Nashville Music scene. The girls will head to Nashville mid 2011 to write with Nashville song writers and have their debut album recorded and produced by leading Nashville producer Mark Oliverius......exciting news for Kodie and Kylie and some would say well deserved after honing their song writing and performance skills together at Country Music Festivals and live pub gigs for the past 6 years.
Left of Center started making waves in the Australian Industry in 2009 with the release of their debut EP “Sitting Pretty” containing 5 originals and 2 covers. The title track “Sitting Pretty” raced up the 98.9 Australian Top 20 chart and was soon to gain airplay on US community radio station “Our City Radio” as well as various radio stations throughout Australia.
The girls followed up their radio success with two video clips produced by golden guitar winner Ross Wood both of which are currently being aired on the Country Music Channel.
To top of the success of 2009 Kylie reached top 5 finalists in the Victorian Country Music Awards for New Talent and top 5 finalists in the Tiaras for Songwriter. Left of Center also took out the Scenic Music Song Writer Award for 2009. Their success from the album was to continue with Left of Center reaching the Top 5 finalist in the revamped 2010 Queensland Country Music Awards.
Left of Center has worked hard at developing their unique style and 2010 has seen them add a new dimension to their show with the formation of 'The O Band' featuring three very versatile and talented musicians consisting of Andrew Kucks, Dale Robbins and John Welldon. With over 20 years experience under their belt the boys bring an extra spark to an already dynamic show.
Left of Center have been regular performers at major festivals throughout Australia and New Zealand including Mud Bulls and Music , Urban Country Music Festival , Tamworth Country Music Festival and the Bay of Islands Country Rock Festival.
Dedication to their work and song writing have seen Left of Center grow as performers and with their calendar filling up fast they are an act worthy of your attention and often leave the crowd wanting more long after they have left the stage.
